Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center,, combines the highest quality care with unparalleled convenience in a community setting. Designed as a new kind of medical center, it brings the types of healthcare services and programs historically found only in the Texas Medical Center to more people across Houston.

A five-year program involved significant elements of new construction, renovation and conversion to new uses. Irvine Team increased the campus population capacity from 5,000 to 12,000 with the construction of a freestanding heart institute, women and children's hospital, an ambulatory surgical center, a diagnostic imaging center, a professional office building and a support services facility. The 310,000 square foot medical center is anchored by the 33-story landmark Memorial Hermann Tower and designed to provide state-of-the-art healthcare services and programs previously found only in the Texas Medical Center. This dynamic medical center comprises 2.5 million square feet of space an expansion of 1.5 million square feet and is licensed for 434 beds.
